Signal Scripts are short interpretive notes for moments when a model answer changes direction. The page is less interested in perfect prompts than in observable cues: what the answer assumes, what it refuses, what it cites, what it omits, and what it can repair after being challenged.
When retrieval enters late
Watch for mismatched vocabulary between the user question and the retrieved fragment; that mismatch often explains odd emphasis.
When a refusal sounds too broad
Separate safety policy, missing context, legal caution, and model uncertainty before treating the refusal as one thing.
When an answer repairs itself
The repair path is evidence. A system that can name the error and preserve the useful parts is different from one that merely rewrites.
